Jason Sterzer focuses his practice on securities law, business law, and estate planning. Prior to joining Pearson Butler, Mr. Sterzer served as the Director of the Utah Division of Securities where he played a key role in overseeing securities compliance, investor protection, and regulatory enforcement within the state. He worked to shape policies that balanced market integrity with economic growth, ensuring fair and transparent financial practices. He also served as a member of the Investment Adviser Committee of the North American Securities Administrators Association, Inc. and the Utah Blockchain and Digital Innovation Task Force. Mr. Sterzer also served as the Director of the Utah Division of Corporation and Commercial Code, where he was instrumental in guiding corporate filings, business structuring, and commercial regulations. Beyond his regulatory and business law expertise, he is also an experienced estate planning attorney, helping individuals and families secure their financial futures. He advises clients on wills and trusts ensuring that their legacies are preserved, and their loved ones are cared for.
