Richard Brown

Richard Brown founded Legacy Law, Trusts & Estates, PC, an estate planning and probate law firm prior to joining Pearson Butler. Richard enjoys helping clients and cares about protect what his clients have spent a lifetime building. Richard has extensive experience helping those whose loved ones have died or become incapacitated by guiding and directing them through the probate and guardianship court procedures when necessary.

Richard practiced law for more than 40 years in the State of Washington, where he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington and as a City Attorney for two Washington cities. He also served as a County and Municipal Court Judge, as a Court Appointed Arbitrator, and as a mediator for private legal disputes. He also had a private practice where he became proficient in a diverse range of legal matters. Since moving to Utah in 2008, Richard has focused his practice on Estate Planning, Probate & Guardianship law. In 2018, Richard was named by the American Institute of Legal Counsel as one of “Utah’s Best Attorneys for Client Satisfaction”.
