We had an excellent experience working with Jason Sterzer to set up our trust and plan for our family’s future. From start to finish, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all of our questions. Estate planning can feel overwhelming, but Jason made the entire process clear, organized, and stress-free. He took the time to thoroughly explain the difference between a Will and a Trust. We learned that while a Will outlines your wishes and distributes assets after death, it still goes through probate, which can be time-consuming and public. A Trust, on the other hand, allows assets to pass directly to beneficiaries without probate, offers greater privacy, can reduce delays and costs, and provides more control over how and when assets are distributed. Understanding these benefits gave us real peace of mind about protecting our family. My husband and I met with Callie, who helped us establish an estate plan, including a trust. She was thorough in her consultation and was quick to have our documents completed once receiving our wishes for our estate plan. She was so good to work with that we then brought our grandparents in to do their estate plan with her. All employees at Pearson Butler were friendly and responsive on the phone and email. Would highly recommend if looking for a legal office.

I have been a longtime client of Dennis Astill and his paralegal, Shelly, and I would never consider going anywhere else for any needs concerning estate planning. When my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer eight years ago, Dennis helped us protect our assets and make everything seamless for our minor children should they be left without parents. They were so kind and patient and understanding and AVAILABLE. Since that time they moved to Pearson Butler and several times over the past few years as my husband declined, I needed advice or assistance quickly, and Shelly always came through! Sadly, my husband is now in hospice and again Dennis and Shelly made updating our affairs so easy. They even conducted meetings via Zoom and came to our home in Tooele County for all the final paperwork signing and notarization, as my husband is now too ill to travel. I will never forget that kindness. A very modest bill for all that they completed as well. My financial advisor in another state has reviewed the living family trust and the other arrangements Dennis recommended for us and his words were 'top notch.' Dennis is also on top of all the changes in the laws, of course, and in such a sad, stressful time I truly appreciate knowing that these two are just a phone call away and are truly interested in our family and our well-being in this situation. I definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future.
